The Radiation TherapistT (RTT) committee is responsible for representing RTTs within Europe, to promote RTT-lead research, education and professional development. This committee represents the RTT profession within ESTRO and various European and International projects. As a group we aim to be a partner for national (RTT) societies and to strengthen everyone working in the field of cancer care, cancer research and education. Within the ESTRO Vision "Radiation Oncology. Optimal Health, for all, together", the RTT committee connects to RTTs in Europe and beyond through multiple initiatives, for instance the RTT Track within the annual congress.

- Liaison for RTTs in Europe and beyond

- Raising the profile of RTTs and voicing the needs of RTTs within ESTRO

- Responsible for the RTT corner of the newsletter

- RTT Track of the annual congress

- Meet & Greet with the committee at the annual congress

- RTT Workshop 2022 & 2024

In 2017 the RTT committee launched the initiative for the RTT Alliance, to improve the representation of RTTs within ESTRO. Today, the RTT Alliance provides a platform through which RTTs can network, where the cross-fertilisation of learning and ideas is promoted and a united critical mass of RTTs with common interests is formed. In 2026, the RTT Alliance includes 26 member National Societies.
