EPTN/ESTRO workshop on proton therapy for head and neck cancer

This workshop will have focus on proton therapy for head and neck cancer with highlight on model-based patient selection, automated segmentation and treatment planning (including AI and outcome-directed), robustness, adaptation, prognosis, complication, altered dose-fractionation and future direction for treatment. ESTRO/European Particle Therapy Network (EPTN) workshops are meant to be an extension to the ESTRO Teaching Course in Particle Therapy.

To follow

Radiation oncologists, medical physicists and treatment planners already active in the field or with at least some knowledge and understanding of principles in particle therapy. Participation in the ESTRO Teaching Course in Particle Therapy prior to the workshop is highly recommended for those who are not already actively involved in particle therapy. Number of participants will be limited to approximately 25.


The head and neck cancer workshop is number two of a series of workshops on particle therapy.

The workshop will consist of plenary lectures and parallel sessions. There will be dedicated sessions for RTTs.
