Overview: During this Brachy Breast symposium, we will discuss about the use of brachytherapy in case of local recurrence either after primary breast conservative surgery or mastectomy. C. Polgar will discuss the patient selection criteria for salvage lumpectomy combined with brachytherapy. He will report the results of retrospective series. He will focus on important tumor features for considering a second breast conserving surgery JM Hannoun-Levi will report the different re-irradiation techniques acknowledging that multi-catheter interstitial brachytherapy is currently the main salvage irradiation technique. A Chichel and P Niehoff will focus on the management of thoracic wall recurrence with brachytherapy. Brachytherapy indications, technique and results will be discussed.
