As of 2014, the first edition of the GEC-ESTRO Handbook is being gradually updated with new and updated chapters and appearing in electronic format. Recently, three new chapters have been published in the second edition.

These are:

• Paedtriatic malignancies, written by Cyrus Chargari, Petra Kroon and Bradley Pieters. This chapter is updated from the first edition.

• Primary vaginal cancer and vaginal recurrences, written by Henrike Westerveld, Nicole Eder-Nesvacil and Maximilian Schmid. This chapter is updated from the first edition

• Cervix cancer, written by Li Tee Tan, Kari Tanderup, Jacob Lindegaard, Monica Serban, Remi Nout and Richard Pötter. This chapter is updated from the first edition.
